My name is Aspen Felton, and I am the Midland Community and Olin Community School District Mental Health Therapist. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I attended Clarke University and received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I then attended Loras College and received my Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology. I have worked as a therapist since 2019 and have worked with a variety of ages from 4-18. I have a passion for assisting children (3 & up) and adolescents, as well as their families with trauma, attachment, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, impulse control, grief and loss, and anger management. I utilize several therapeutic approaches including Person Centered, Mindfulness Based Practices, Art Therapy, Strength Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused therapeutic approaches. I am working to obtain my Registered Play Therapist (RPT) Certification.
In my free time, I enjoy being outside, camping with my family, golfing and being with friends and family. My husband Evan and I live in Monticello and we have one daughter (Jaylyn) and one dog named John. I am looking forward to joining the Midland and Olin Communities.
