My name is Robyn Ceurvorst and I am the Special Education Teacher at Olin Elementary School. I am looking forward to a positive, rewarding, and growth-filled school year for all students. Education has been a part of my life since I was a kid. I grew up helping in my mom's, grandma's, and aunt's classrooms in the Davenport Community Schools District. I completed schooling at Davenport West High (Diploma), University of Northern Iowa (BA), Colorado State University (MS), Oregon State University (PhD), and Minnesota State University / Morningside University, Iowa (K-12 Iowa Teaching Licensure and Endorsements). I have taught as a higher education professor and preK-12 educator in Iowa, various domestic states, and internationally. My favorite part of working at Olin is supporting student academic, social-emotional and behavioral growth.

My family and I enjoy being outdoors hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, skating, boating, fishing, geocaching, taking photos, and having fun. We love to work on our butterfly / pollinator flower garden and vegetable garden. I serve as a volunteer sports coach for Quad-Cities Strikers, support my son's sports / arts, and help out with parks and recreation and extension programs. My son and I especially love to read books together, play music, do challenging puzzles or games, and volunteer at community events.
